VP, Strategic Business Development
Collaborative Robotics
We are seeking a VP of Strategic Business Development to drive high-impact partnerships and corporate development initiatives. This individual will be responsible for identifying, structuring, and executing strategic deals that accelerate growth and create long-term business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify & Secure High-Value Partnerships: Proactively seek out and evaluate strategic opportunities, including revenue-sharing models, co-marketing/selling partnerships, and bi-directional acquisitions. Think creatively, continuously scanning the horizon for deep collaboration opportunities.
- Build & Execute Strategic Deals: Lead negotiations and execution of complex agreements that drive significant business impact.
- Be the Bridge Between Vision & Execution: Work closely with executive leadership to assess, prioritize, and act on partnership opportunities that align with long-term company strategy.
- Create a Systematic Approach to Growth: Develop a structured process for identifying and pursuing strategic initiatives. Maintain global awareness of industry trends and organizational shifts that may be indicative of new opportunities.
- Leverage Industry Networks: Engage with key stakeholders to unlock new revenue channels and long-term collaborations.
- Lead & Grow a Strategic Partnerships Function: Potentially oversee a small team as the function scales.
This role is located with preference toward onsite or onsite-hybrid presence at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters or Seattle, WA office. Remote-US may be considered.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Strategic Business Development, Corporate Development, Venture Capital, or a related field.
- Proven track record in structuring and negotiating high-value strategic deals.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align partnerships with company goals.
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with ambiguity.
- Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.
- Willing to occasionally travel, up to 40% time.
- Must have and maintain US work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in robotics, industrial automation, AI/ML, logistics, or enterprise technology.
- Prior exposure to acquisitions, joint ventures, or complex partnership structures.
- Background in a high-growth startup or transitioning from venture capital.
- Familiarity with government contracts, industrial partnerships, or logistics-related strategic initiatives.
The base salary range for this position is $240,000 - $280,000 plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and experience level. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the noted geographic area. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
