We are seeking an Industrial Designer at Cobot. In this role, you will work closely with the cross functional teams to develop and refine innovative concepts for our robotics systems. This position offers the opportunity to impact from product vision, definition, architecture, CMF to DFM. Iterating rapidly from initial sketches to 3D models, while ensuring alignment with manufacturing and engineering requirements.

This role is located onsite at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate usability and technical insights into elegant, intuitive design solutions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and manufacturing.
• Generate compelling design concepts, even in early or ambiguous problem spaces.
• Contribute to and support adjacent design workstreams to maintain a cohesive brand communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as an Industrial Designer, with a strong portfolio to match.
• Refined visual sensibility and sharp design intuition.
• Hands-on experience with DFM (design for manufacturing) and a natural curiosity for how things are built and function.
• Skilled in rapid prototyping across a range of mediums.
• Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-paced problem-solving.
• Proficient in 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias, or Catia.
• Proficient in 3D visualization and rendering tools such as KeyShot, Cinema 4D, or equivalent.
• Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment.
• Willing to travel.
• Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Portfolio that reflects ability to solve complex problems to elegant and simple design solutions.

The base salary range for this position is $150,000-$180,000 annually plus equity and comprehensive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and experience level. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the noted geographic area. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
