As a People Operations Generalist at Regard, you’ll be supporting our People Team in all human resources functions. Your primary objective will be to support the day-to-day back-end administration of all compliance, benefits, payroll, and onboarding functions while our People Operations Manager is on leave. The ideal candidate is a quick learner who thrives in a dynamic and demanding environment, is detail-oriented, and embraces a collaborative work style. This role reports to our Director of People Operations. We are open to considering a People Operations Manager (short-term) title depending on experience. This will be a short-term 6 month position from September 2024 - March 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with new-hire orientation and team member onboarding, including verifying I9’s
  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefit enrollments and team member contact/personal information in Gusto
  • Manage all incoming notices and requests from local, state, and federal agencies keeping Regard in compliance
  • Facilitate new hire orientations and conduct exit interviews
  • Document and manage all payroll changes and updates
  • Assist in coordinating and executing bi-annual reviews
  • Assist in the rollout of internal processes and programs and revamp current employee programs owned by People Operations to ensure continued effectiveness
  • Ensure the company is compliant by managing annual required training such as harassment and Workplace Violence training
  • Collaborate with the People Team and other stakeholders to drive People team initiatives and ad hoc projects to support the team toward business goals

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, a related field of study, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of HR experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in a tech startup
  • Experience with implementation and management of an HRIS
  • Knowledgeable in U.S. employment laws
  • Proficient in Mac, G-Suite and Slack

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in project management and strong analytical and reporting abilities
  • Experience prioritizing and multitasking in a dynamic environment with competing demands while keeping partners well-advised of progress
  • Experience in employee onboarding and separations
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Independent and collaborative worker
